Composer Keith Hampton loves sharing his passion for music with his 4th through 7th grade students at the Chicago International Charter School-Bucktown Campus. These talented students learn to play a variety of instruments during their lunch/recess period only once a week. The students then participate in the after school band on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Dr. Hampton loves sharing one of his favorite quotes with his students “Music is life, the rest is just details!”

Doc’s World of Music
Great Day! I just passed my IL K-12 teacher certification and Music endorsement where I received perfect scores in Theory and Creating/Composition and a 294/300. I am really enjoying using Whole Brain techniques in my classroom. Additionally, I feel like a Music technology guro because I use a smart board and a music curriculum developed by QuaverMusic.com. Check out my class website: http://lnkd.in/bByr9-2 For other activities of Dr. Keith Hampton, composer check out: http://lnkd.in/bxXtv7C and http://www.drkeithhampton.com and http://www.chicagocommunitychorus.org

The Keith Hampton Singers will be appearing on the west side of Chicago on Sunday, September 15 at 3 pm. We will be singing Seek The Lord which is a spiritual. KHS will then sing For your praise with lyrics by Jodette Adams and music by Dr. Keith Hampton. The singers will close their appearance singing Wait, Pray which was written for KHS by Dr. Thomas W. Jefferson.
Looking forward to a wonderful musical offering.
